Black Makes Nifong Issue in DA Primary
DURHAM — Freda Black fired her first political shots across the bows in announcing her candidacy for Durham County district attorney Friday.
On the courthouse steps with supporters at her side, Black criticized prosecutors who served under ex-district attorney Mike Nifong, two of whom will be joining her in the May Democratic primary field.
