Laurens Native Jumps Into Senate District 16 Race
Laurens native Jason Culbertson announced his plans to seek the Republican nomination for the House District 16 seat, joining the race to replace incumbent State Rep. Adam Taylor, R-Laurens, who will vacate the seat after 10 years in the House.
Culbertson will face Fountain Inn’s Mark Willis, who narrowly lost the 2006 Republican Primary when Taylor was re-elected to a fifth term.
Taylor announced in February that he wouldn’t seek re-election to the seat that covers parts of Laurens County and southern Greenville County, including Fountain Inn.
