Wilson was the clear winner given Jennings comments over “illegal immigrants” going through judicial process. As the state’s construction, agriculture and manufacturing business grows; hence SC will suffer the nationwide problem of illegal workers. To promise to waste law enforcement dollars and precious time tracking down illegal aliens when so many other crimes affect the mental and financial stability of the average tax payer, is simply pandering for votes. It doesn’t seem to me that people are placing fears of illegal aliens at the top of their list,…especially when they enjoy getting their grass cut and their french fries served at a deep discount. What about identity fraud? insurance fraud? illegal financial scams? Want to pander some votes? Then go after the real scams that affect our economy and our safety. We should deport the aliens as we get them and encourage the US Border Patrol for as much assistance as possible. The problem cannot be solved out of Charleston, it has to be spear headed in Washington. As we know, it is an issue that Capitol Hill tap dances around every chance it gets.
