He decided to run as a Democrat because he rightfully believes that the Democrat Party is trending in the correct way, back to its historic roots of populism and principle. Folks like Jon Tester, Jim Webb, Heath Shuler and Bob Conley represent the grassroots base of the Democratic Party not just here in SC, but all over the nation. The Democrats need more Bob Conley's. Bob has lied about nothing. He decided to run as a Democrat because he rightfully believes that the Democrat Party is trending in the correct way, back to its historic roots of populism and principle. No Of course, Sanford has done the same thing, as he is Libertarian, but wanted election so badly he also pretended to be a Republican. here's a news flash...if you dont like the Republican Party, then leave it and create your own. The current crop of Republican leaders had the strength to stand in the wilderness 30 years ago and built the party through blood, sweat and tears. This current crop shows neither strength nor courage, and instead has piggy-backed and taken advantage of the sweat equity of others, then hijacked it. Kind of reminds me of a parasite, that inserts itself into the host....then kills it for its own benefit.. Of course you realize that he is not a democrat..in fact..reality or even fiction..
