Mayor of Waxhaw Charged with DUI
Waxhaw’s mayor has been charged with driving under the influence in South Carolina.
Autumn Daune Gardner, 37, was arrested early Thursday in Lancaster County, according to law enforcement records.
The S.C. Highway Patrol stopped her about 2 a.m. on U.S. 521 in Lancaster, about 2 miles north of Waxhaw Highway
Autumn Daune? I can’t believe with a name like that I don’t know who she is, especially when she’s practically next door. Why do I get the feeling she was conceived in a Tibetan commune after a journey down The Hippie Trail?
Anyway, her political career is over with this term. Carolina voters don’t take very well to reelecting the many, many alcoholic politicians we seem to put in office in the first place. She ought to hook up with Paul Lindemann over here in York County. They’ve got a lot in common.
