Gas Prices Dropping

Published by Bane Windlow at 10:55 am under Economy, North Carolina, South Carolina

You will have noticed that gasoline prices have been dropping pretty rapidly which is a well needed financial relief.  However, gasoline is still scarce in the Charlotte region although it’s becoming easier to acquire than before.  Premium brands are still out just about everywhere, but fewer gas stations are running out of the standard 87 octane.

Despite the drop in price, we are still well above the national average, approximately 30 cents.  Generally North Carolina is around a dime below the average and in South Carolina we are usually about 15 cents below North so those of us here in York County really should be paying about $3.00 right now.  I saw $3.29 yesterday.
