Reporter Assaulted at Elon Palin Rally
Joe Killian, a reporter for the News & Record, was assaulted yesterday at the Sarah Palin rally at Elon University. This election season we’ve been seeing an increasing amount of violence and threats from supporters of both John McCain and Barack Obama. It is really disheartening to see that we’ve reached this level of uncivil political discourse in a nation that prides itself on being the modern day model of a democratic government. These kinds of incidents are happening all over the country and it’s even filtering down to the children of America. This shouldn’t be surprising to you. They learn from our example, after all.
