Sanford Undecided on Porkulus Money
Governor Sanford hasn’t decided whether or not he will accept any of the money from the porkulus bill, a decision of which we wait for with baited breath. Sanford was only one of two governors that went to Congress and chastised them for their fiscal recklessness. So, if Sanford decides to take the money does that make him a hypocrite?
I say take it. It’s done. The bill passed. He warned them about the consequences and made an effort to stop it, but the bottom line is that the money will now be spent, if not in South Carolina, then somewhere else so we may as well just take the money now and put it to use.
