Argentine Woman is Sanford’s “Soul Mate”

Published by Bane Windlow at 7:45 pm under Jagoffs, Mark Sanford, South Carolina

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, already struggling to salvage his family and his political career after admission of a scandalous affair, added explosive details Tuesday, including more visits with the mistress he calls his “soul mate” and additional women in his past.

The once-promising presidential prospect said he is committed to reconciling with his wife, but professed to The Associated Press his continued love for the Argentine woman at the center of the firestorm that gutted his political future.

In emotional interviews with the AP over two days, he said he would die “knowing that I had met my soul mate.”

The State

Yes, well, telling the whole world that his wife is not his soul mate will most certainly send her running back to him with open arms as he tries to reconcile their marriage.  Good grief.  He also states that he has crossed the line with some other women during their 20 years of marriage.  This just gets better each day.  I’m telling you, I am waiting for the love child.  This just screams John Edwards all over again.

this governor is a bit confused!!
” he is trying to love his wife again”
while still having a soul mate,
and he expects her to jump right in
and ” be loved again” by him.
Women are always use as cleaning rag
and they kind of play that roll unconcerned
    it looks to me.

    Just resign.

On a previous post I had thought he shouldn’t resign cause of an error in judgement in his personal life.

His “confessional” interviews, among other things, has definitely crossed my “eww” line, and he should definitely resign.

Resign and payback anything you took from the tax payers.
Go to Argentina and be with your soul mate. Spend 3 months and decide if you want to be with sole mate or with your family and do accordingly

Yet another fine example of do as I say, not as I do.

    WJ,

What “error” in his personal life? HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING FOR YEARS!!!!!

He got so caught up in it, he crossed the line, had to admit his one dalliance and when the pressure came on – his concensice (sp?) got to him to admit more. Still dont think he is done as the ladies will come out of the woodwork for their 15 mins of fame.

lET’S SEE HOW IT PLAYS OUT. i STILL FEEL HE SHOULD GO TO HIS SOUL MATE AND FIND OUT IF ITS NOT INFATUATION. cOME BACK TO mISS jENNY AND FIND HER long gone

Miss Jenny deserves better and those children do too.

For shame Mr Governor – For shame!

Did you not think of anyone but you and your pitiful weak needs. The needs of your great family and great state of South Carolina were cast aside as if they were to be discarded.

You have no idea of the beautiful, strong Christian family who believed in you heart and soul and how you have hurt them

You have no idea how you let the great state of South Carolina down

For shame Mr Governor – For shame.

    STEP DOWN NOW…….

He needs to go. He lied to his family and to the people of SC, the guy cannot be trusted in the job of Governor any longer.

I think the biggest problem with this whole situation has been the way Sanford has let it roll out.

This day-by-day release of information has just been bad. Better that it would have all come out in one or two news cycles.

Sandford and Co. are feeding the media beast.

The Guv needs to resign. He has become too much of a distraction to the people’s business.

People fall out of love…it happens. But why must he continue to humiliate his wife and family in the National press? Do we all really need to know that this woman is his soulmate and that he’ll “try” to fall back in love with his wife?

    Stop punishing the woman!

Sanford has abundant problems that scream for professional help. After he resigns, is divorced by his wife, and begins a medication regimen, he can revisit and retry his failed adolescence, perhaps getting it more right this time. Every guy that I know had a ’soul mate’–when they were teenagers. I don’t have a doubt that if the Argentine women actually lived with Sanford for a few months instead of visiting occasionally at luxury spots. the magic would be off and the guy would grow up. Thank God we discovered the truth about him before he had the chance to become president.

In the meantime, SC is becoming known as the Soul Mate State.

Sanford and his soul mate deserve one another. She knew he was married, and chose to value herself as “slimy.” His wife should shed him and find someone more equitable. The best to her.

  10. [...] South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford shouldn’t resign because he’s an unfaithful, lying, hypocrite … although he’s all that and more. He should resign because he’s a moron! Only a blithering idiot could, in one breath, publicly describe his lover as his “soul mate” and, in the next breath, vow to salvage his marriage and fall b… [...]
