MoveOn.org Planning Columbia Rally for Socialism

MoveOn.org is planning to rally at the office of South Carolina’s senior senator over health care reform.

MoveOn.org is organizing a gathering Thursday at the office of Sen. Lindsey Graham. Organizers say they will deliver petitions from members across the state asking the Republican to support President Barack Obama’s plans to reform health insurance.

The petition includes a quote from Obama saying that Americans should have a public health insurance option.

The president has said he wants to sign a bill in October that would reduce medical costs and provide coverage to nearly 50 million uninsured Americans.

The State

There are two things I am going to touch on here:  the public health care option and the myth of 50 million uninsured Americans.  Any bill that comes out of Congress including a public health insurance option to compete against private health insurers will be the final nail in the coffin of America.  Anyone with a grain of common sense knows that this public option will be a precursor to a complete government takeover of the health care industry.  The government will unfairly undercut private insurance agencies and eventually put them out of business.  If we ever reach that point understand that the America you may have fought for and the one our fathers fought for and grandfathers fought for will be gone.  We will have no freedom in this country once our lives are left to the government discretion.  People like the moonbats at MoveOn.org and other supporters of socialized health care are either too ignorant to understand this or just don’t care because they’re greedy and want nanny to give them everything in exchange for nothing.

Second, the 45 to 50 million number of alleged uninsured Americans that gets touted by the Democrats is a flat out lie.  I’m sure the politicians are aware of that, however their supporters may very well be unsurprisingly clueless.  Lou Dobbs laid this out perfectly yesterday:

To be exact, 45.7 million is the number of people who told the Census Bureau that they do not have insurance, or did not at least at some point in 2007. The number was down from 47 million the year before.

But here is what, as best we can judge, what that number includes: 12 million people who are eligible for public health insurance program, including Medicaid or SCHIP, or for whatever reason don’t participate. And
among the estimated 10 million non-citizens who lack health insurance, an estimated 7 million illegal aliens as well. And some 7 million uninsured individuals, many of them young adults who earn at least $40,000 a year, and who may have chosen to not take health insurance because they thought they didn’t need it. Keep in mind, that the number, 46 million, refers to the number of people who say they’ve gone without health insurance at some point during the past year, when asked by the Census Bureau, not necessarily the entire year. That figure, according to the Congressional Budget Office, is closer to 20 million to 30 million.

And the number actually, without insurance, but in need of health care insurance, arguably, 10 million. So let’s slow down, look at the FACTS, and try to reform health care the way it should be: based on Truth and Fact.

Lou Dobbs

I doubt that Graham will vote for a plan that includes a public option, so MoveOn is more than likely wasting their time trying to pressure him, however when it comes to limited government Graham hasn’t always been the most reliable for South Carolina.

    AMERICA’S NATIONAL HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY!

It’s official. America and the World are now in a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. A World EPIDEMIC with potential catastrophic consequences for ALL of the American people. The first PANDEMIC in 41 years. And WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES will have to face this PANDEMIC with the 37th worst quality of healthcare in the developed World.

STAND READY AMERICA TO SEIZE CONTROL OF YOUR NATIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.

We spend over twice as much of our GDP on healthcare as any other country in the World. And Individual American spend about ten times as much out of pocket on healthcare as any other people in the World. All because of GREED! And the PRIVATE FOR PROFIT healthcare system in America.

And while all this is going on, some members of congress seem mostly concern about how to protect the corporate PROFITS! of our GREED DRIVEN, PRIVATE FOR PROFIT NATIONAL DISGRACE. A PRIVATE FOR PROFIT DISGRACE that is in fact, totally valueless to the public health. And a detriment to national security, public safety, and the public health.

Progressive democrats the Tri-Caucus and others should stand firm in their demand for a robust public option for all Americans, with all of the minimum requirements progressive democrats demanded. If congress can not pass a robust public option with at least 51 votes and all robust minimum requirements, congress should immediately move to scrap healthcare reform and request that President Obama declare a state of NATIONAL HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY! Seizing and replacing all PRIVATE FOR PROFIT health insurance plans with the immediate implementation of National Healthcare for all Americans under the provisions of HR676 (A Single-payer National Healthcare Plan For All).

Coverage can begin immediately through our current medicare system. With immediate expansion through recruitment of displaced workers from the canceled private sector insurance industry. Funding can also begin immediately by substitution of payroll deductions for private insurance plans with payroll deductions for the national healthcare plan. This is what the vast majority of the American people want. And this is what all objective experts unanimously agree would be the best, and most cost effective for the American people and our economy.

In Mexico on average people who received medical care for A-H1N1 (Swine Flu) with in 3 days survived. People who did not receive medical care until 7 days or more died. This has been the same results in the US. But 50 million Americans don’t even have any healthcare coverage. And at least 200 million of you with insurance could not get in to see your private insurance plans doctors in 2 or 3 days, even if your life depended on it. WHICH IT DOES!

If President Obama has to declare a NATIONAL STATE OF EMERGENCY to rescue the American people from our healthcare crisis, he will need all the sustained support you can give him. STICK WITH HIM! He’s doing a brilliant job.

    THIS IS THE BIG ONE!

THE BATTLE OF GOOD Vs EVIL!

    Join the fight.

Contact congress and your representatives NOW! AND SPREAD THE WORD!

    God Bless You

Oh, Lindsey! What a fool you actually are:

“Among Sotomayor’s questioners, both Coburn and Lindsey Graham are class of ’94. They — along with Jeff Sessions, a former Alabama attorney general best known for his unsuccessful prosecutions of civil rights activists — set the Republicans’ tone last week. In one of his many cringe-inducing moments, Graham suggested to Sotomayor that she had “a temperament problem” and advised that “maybe these hearings are a time for self-reflection.” That’s the crux of the ’94 spirit, even more than its constant, whiny refrain of white victimization: Hold others to a standard that you would not think of enforcing on yourself or your peers. Self-reflection may be mandatory for Sotomayor, but it certainly isn’t for Graham.

In his ’94 Congressional campaign in South Carolina, Graham made a big deal of promising to enact term limits. At the Clinton impeachment, he served as a manager of the prosecution. That was then, and this is now. Graham hasn’t even term-limited himself — an action he could have taken at any time unilaterally — and his pronouncements on marital morality (unencumbered by any marital attachments of his own) are a study in relativism. On “Meet the Press,” he granted absolution to his ’94 classmate Sanford, now his state’s governor, for abusing his office with his taxpayer-financed extramarital “trade mission” to Argentina. “I think the people of South Carolina will give him a second chance,” he said, as long as “Jenny and Mark can get back together.” Maybe Graham judges the Sanfords by a more empathetic standard than the Clintons because the Republican lieutenant governor who would replace Sanford is already fending off rumors that he’s gay.

Graham has also given a pass to his ’94 classmate Ensign, now a Nevada senator. Ensign not only committed adultery with an employee but sat by as his wealthy parents gave the mistress and her cuckolded husband nearly $100,000 to ease their pain. Ensign’s lawyer deflected questions that this beneficence might be hush money by claiming it was part of the senior Ensigns’ “pattern of generosity.”

When asked about these unsavory matters, Graham said that an ethics investigation of Ensign “isn’t high” among his priorities

    What a tool!
