WCSB member Sutton pulls out the race card

Sutton, who is not up for election this week, called a move to neighborhood schools, which several candidates are pushing for, an attempt to “turn back the clock” on school integration.

I hope that Republicans win either the NC State House or State Senate next year. If that happens maybe we can get away from these gerry-mandered school board and other political districts that guarrantee election results.

I feel confident that all people of many different democgraphics and political persuasions would be inclined to tell the truth if EVERY election was a toss up. Making statements like Mr. Sutton did would have consequences. I bet right now he feels immune to be able to make any statement he wants. I hope that he feels the heat after this election and thinks twice about running in 2011.

The GOP may have an outside shot at the Senate. They need to win six seats, but barring any retirements in key districts I think their odds of winning that many are low. They need nine seats in the House and I don’t see that happening.
